Bridgestone Americas Holding, Inc. is an international manufacturer with 38 production facilities throughout the Americas. For treks around the track or treks to the office, Bridgestone and Firestone brands are the ones customers turn to around the world.
	THE CHALLENGE	Bridgestone/Firestone Off Road Tire Company (BFOR), manufacturers of industrial tires, asked Computer Image to implement multiple projects including design of custom intranet applications, maintenance of network infrastructure and migration of several sights to the network, mobile access, ecommerce, system upgrades and various custom software applications. Several of these tasks involved interfacing with Legacy systems already in place as well as utilizing the latest software/hardware technologies.
	THE SOLUTION	Due to the confidential nature of the work we have done and at the request of B/F Corporate, we are not disclosing the details of our solutions.
	THE BENEFITS	Results were faster, more efficient procedure for handling workflow. The Company has been able to reduce costs, increase productivity, and streamline operations. Nearly 1000 man-hours per year have been saved with one new system. Another system allows the company to challenge competition pricing more responsively, resulting in greater and faster sales closings. System #3 has opened a new market capable of achieving multi-million dollars in sales per year. The new system enables the compnay to utilize a previously untapped resource resulting in a new revenue stream requiring minimal overhead in sales support. All solutions leveraged VPN security with other technologies to ensure data integrity and security for sensitive materials.
